GREENVILLE, Pa. – Tied up 3-3 at halftime, the Thiel College men's lacrosse team outscored the Muskingum Fighting Muskies 9-2 in the second half Wednesday en route to a 12-5 non-conference victory at the Rissell-Schreyer Dome. It was Thiel's fourth straight non-conference victory.
Timothy O'Shea (Cranberry Township, Pa./Seneca Valley), the Ohio River Lacrosse Conference Offensive Player of the Week two weeks in a row, led the Tomcats with four goals and an assist while
Edward Kargbo (Alexandria, Va./T.C. Williams) scored two goals and recorded one assist. Also for Thiel,
Brennen O'Shea (Pittsburgh, Pa./Seneca Valley) scored a goal and dished out a pair of assists while
Jared Saffer (Pittsburgh, Pa./North Hills) recorded two points with a goal and an assist.
Charles Wistner (Orchard Park, N.Y./Orchard Park) played all 60 minutes in net for the Tomcats. He denied 13 Muskingum shots to improve his season record to 4-1.
Ian McGougan paced the Fighting Muskies with three goals. Phillip Dappen made 14 saves.
Thiel (4-1) will take on Defiance on the road on Saturday, March 19. The game is scheduled to begin at 1 p.m.
