PINEHURST, N.C. – The Thiel College men's golf team was defeated 306-322 Monday by the Saint Vincent Bearcats at Southern Pines Golf Course in Pinehurst, N.C.
 
Jason Thorp (Curwensville, Pa./Curwensville) led the Tomcats with a score of 75 while Jeff Jenkins (Pittsburgh, Pa./Chartiers Valley) and Will Malady (Meadville, Pa./Meadville) each carded scores of 82. Also for the Tomcats, Cody Slevin (Linesville, Pa./Linesville) shot an 83 while Jonathan Loomis (Greenville, Pa./Kennedy Catholic) turned in a score of 84.
 
Saint Vincent's Jake Reed turned in a low score on the day of 74. Ben Biss and Zach Wyatt each shot 76s. Cam Roth and Nate Yackovich turned in an 80 and an 81, respectively.
