PITTSBURGH, Pa. – The Thiel College men's lacrosse team opened up a 3-0 lead Wednesday and never looked back in a 16-8 non-conference win over the La Roche Redhawks. It was Thiel's sixth straight win.
Brennen O'Shea (Pittsburgh, Pa./Seneca Valley) led the Tomcats with six points (3G, 3A) while
Edward Kargbo (Alexandria, Va./T.C. Williams) tallied five points (3G, 2A).
Timothy O'Shea (Cranberry Township, Pa./Seneca Valley) scored two goals and handed out a pair of assists while
Aaron Parry (Erie, Pa./McDowell) netted two goals.
Also for the Tomcats,
Alex Casile (Pittsburgh, Pa./Fox Chapel) scored two goals and recorded an assist while
Kyle Reib (Erie, Pa./McDowell) notched two points (1G, 1A).
Jared Saffer (Pittsburgh, Pa./North Hills) scored a goal and won 17 faceoffs.
Charles Wistner (Orchard Park, N.Y./Orchard Park) made seven saves for the Tomcats in a little more than 40 minutes of work to earn his sixth win of the season.
Brad LaBovick paced the Redhawks with three goals. Isaiah Wilson made 10 saves for La Roche.
Thiel (6-1, 1-0 ORLC) will host Transylvania on Saturday, April 2. The Ohio River Lacrosse Conference (ORLC) game is scheduled to begin at 1 p.m.
