MEADVILLE, Pa. – The Thiel College women's lacrosse team was defeated on the road 17-1 Thursday night by the Allegheny Gators at Frank Fuhrer Field.
 
Courtney Fatta (Lancaster, Pa./Penn Manor) led the Tomcats with a goal, which was assisted by Paige Scherer (Cranberry, Pa./Seneca Valley). Asia Wallace (Annapolis, Md./Annapolis) made 12 saves for the Tomcats.
 
Jackie Morrow led the Gators with four goals while Gusty Mead scored three goals and added an assist. Kaelin Clogan made a pair of saves for the Gators in the first half and earned the win.
 
Thiel will open Ohio River Lacrosse Conference (ORLC) play Saturday at home against the Hanover Panthers. The game is scheduled to begin at 1 p.m.
