GREENVILLE, Pa. – Brothers Timothy and Brennen O'Shea (Pittsburgh, Pa./Seneca Valley) combined for nine goals and 18 points Saturday to lead the Thiel College men's lacrosse team to a 21-5 non-conference victory over the Hampton University Pirates at the Rissell-Schreyer Dome.

Timothy O'Shea (Cranberry Township, Pa./Seneca Valley) scored seven goals and added four assists while younger brother Brennen O'Shea (Pittsburgh, Pa./Seneca Valley) scored two goals while compiling five helpers. Timothy matched his own program record for points in a single game (11) in the win while Brennen matched the program's record for assists (5) in a single game.

Timothy scored four of his seven goals in the first quarter to help the Tomcats take a commanding, early 7-0 lead. Alex Hudson scored Hampton's first goal of the game midway through the second quarter, but the Tomcats went on to score four unanswered goals to hold an 11-1 lead at halftime.

In addition to the O'Sheas, Jared Saffer (Pittsburgh, Pa./North Hills) scored five goals for the Tomcats while Edward Kargbo (Alexandria, Va./T.C. Williams) and Sean Loney (Linthicum, Md./North County) scored three and two goals, respectively.

In its inaugural season, Hampton University became the 70th NCAA Division I men's lacrosse program in the country. Located in Hampton, Va., Hampton University is the first HBCU to field a Division I men's lacrosse program.

Darrel Kidd scored two goals and added an assist for the Pirates while Hudson notched two goals.

Charles Wistner (Orchard Park, N.Y./Orchard Park) made four saves in the first half to earn his first win of the season. Coty Bachman (Wheeling, W.Va./Wheeling Park) also made four saves for the Tomcats in the second half. Alyn Jordan-Bass made six saves in 60 minutes of work for the Pirates.

The Tomcats (1-1) will take on the Hiram College Terriers in non-conference action Wednesday. The game is scheduled to begin at 4 p.m.
