GREENVILLE, Pa. – The Thiel College men's basketball team suffered a 82-70 loss at home to the Waynesburg Yellow Jackets in a Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) contest Wednesday night.
Junior forward
Avril Campbell (Dumfries, Va./Potomac) led the Tomcats with 20 points on 9-of-10 shooting from the field. Campbell also grabbed seven rebounds. Fellow juniors
Josh Lumbus (Cleveland, Ohio/John Hay) and
Tyreik Burton (Lewes, Del./Cape Henlopen) also notched double-digit points in the loss. Lumbus tallied 17 points and six boards while Burton collected 11 points and five assists.
Junior forward
Clandell Cetoute (Wellington, Fla./Wellington) pulled down a game-high eight rebounds along with four blocks.
Jon Knab led the Yellow Jackets with 20 points.
The Tomcats (5-2. 1-2 PAC) will travel to Beaver Falls to take on the Geneva Golden Tornadoes in a conference clash. Tip off is scheduled for 1 p.m. from the Metheny Fieldhouse.
