GREENVILLE, Pa. – The Thiel College women's soccer team suffered a 2-1 Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) loss Wednesday evening to the Saint Vincent Bearcats at Alumni Stadium.
The Bearcats took the lead 12:40 into the contest when Natalie Luppold scored an unassisted goal. The Bearcats continued to lead 1-0 at halftime before taking a 2-0 lead in the 76
th minute on a goal by Molly Drasch, which was assisted by Calsey Holshue.
Tomcat sophomore
Cassie Koch (Stow, Ohio/Stow-Munroe) cut the lead in half when she scored from the right wing with a little less than 10 minutes remaining in regulation. However, Thiel was unable to score the game-tying goal down the stretch.
Kim Gentry (Madison, Ohio/Madison) made seven saves for the Tomcats.
Thiel will host the Waynesburg Yellow Jackets Saturday at Alumni Stadium. The PAC game is slated to begin at 1 p.m.
