Presidents best Tomcats

WASHINGTON, Pa. – The Thiel College women's basketball team suffered a 100-67 Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) loss Wednesday night on the road to the Washington & Jefferson Presidents at Henry Memorial Center.
 
Jaclyn Watkins (Aliquippa, Pa./Aliquippa) led the Tomcats with 16 points and eight rebounds while freshman guard Jess Vormelker (Orwell, Ohio/Grand Valley) scored 15 points. Point guard Kayla Welty (Portville, N.Y./Portville ) handed out a game-high 10 assists.
 
Beka Bellhy led the Presidents with 18 points while Amirah Moore scored 15 points. Ashley Mikelonis scored 12 points while Rachel Bellhy led Washington & Jefferson with 11 rebounds.
 
The Tomcats will host the Bethany Bison in a PAC matchup Saturday at Beeghly Gymnasium. The game is scheduled to begin at 1 p.m.
