GREENVILLE, Pa. – The Thiel College women's basketball team was defeated by the No. 1-ranked Thomas More Saints Saturday at Beeghly Gymnasium, 102-38.
 
Jess Vormelker (Orwell, Ohio/Grand Valley) and Hannah Stoneman (Sugarcreek, Ohio/Hiland) led the Thiel Tomcats with nine and eight points, respectively. Stoneman also led the Tomcats with seven rebounds.
 
Samantha Cady scored a game-high 17 points for the Saints. Nikki Kiernan scored 16 points and grabbed a game-best 12 rebounds. Abby Owings also chipped in with 11 points.
 
The Tomcats will travel to Pittsburgh, Pa. Wednesday to face the Chatham Cougars at 6 p.m.
