GREENVILLE, Pa. – The Thiel College men's basketball team suffered a 68-59 defeat to the Grove City Wolverines in Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) action Saturday afternoon.
Three Tomcats scored double figures, led by senior guard
Khari Bess (Waldorf, Md./Maurice J. McDonough). Bess had 17 points and also stole the ball four times.
Luke Kochka (Monroeville, Pa. /Gateway) and
Avril Campbell (Dumfries, Va./Potomac) both scored 15 points. Kochka had eight rebounds in the fray while Campbell pulled down seven boards.
Clandell Cetoute (Wellington, Fla./Wellington) recorded eight points, eight rebounds and four blocks.
Andrew Beckman and Caleb Knudsen both had double-doubles for the visiting Wolverines. Beckman scored 17 points with 13 rebounds and Knudsen scored 10 points and had 12 rebounds.
The Tomcats will be back in action on Wednesday when they travel to Latrobe to take on the PAC-leading Saint Vincent Bearcats. Tipoff is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. from the Carey Center.
