YOUNGWOOD, Pa. – The Thiel College women's soccer team suffered a 7-3 defeat to the Pitt-Greensburg Bobcats in a non-conference match at Westmoreland Community College.
Sophomore
Alex Kitta (Everson, Pa./Southmoreland) put away the only Tomcat marker in the first half off of a one-timer from
Elizabeth Wilkinson (Apollo, Pa./Kiski Area) in the 31
st minute.
Katelyn Labos (Carnegie, Pa./Chartiers Valley) scored her first collegiate goal in the 62
nd minute and then
Kaytee Candela (Geneva, Ohio/Lakeside) recorded a goal in the 85
th minute from a through ball by
Joelle Reitz (DuBois, Pa./DuBois).
Kim Gentry (Madison, Ohio/Madison) made eight saves in net for the Tomcats.
Kayleen Schwegler scored four goals for the Bobcats.
The Tomcats will be back in action Tuesday, Sept. 15 at home against the Hilbert Hawks. Action is slated to begin at 5 p.m.
