Smith, Mosley homers not enough for Thiel in loss to Bethany

GREENVILLE, Pa. – The Thiel College baseball team suffered a 16-6 defeat to the Bethany Bison in a Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) contest Friday afternoon at Tomcat Park.

Trent Mosley (South Euclid, Ohio/Brush) and Trent Smith (Franklin, Pa./Franklin) each knocked solo home runs to right field. Smith, Cody Trinch (Franklin, Pa./Franklin), and Josh Doody (Grove City, Pa. /Grove City) each had two hits for the Tomcats. Brian Genco (Strongsville, Ohio/Strongsville), Dan Koller (Euclid, Ohio/Lake Catholic), and Matt Elko (Middlefield, Ohio/Berkshire) each added an RBI in the game.

The Tomcats (24-10, 13-6 PAC) will finish the season series with the Bison Saturday with a doubleheader at Bethany, W.Va. The first game is scheduled to begin at noon.
