All of the runs scored in the first game came in support of Parker Meyers (Bethel Park, Pa./Bethel Park), who struck out nine Wolverines to pick up his fourth win of the season. Meyers had a perfect game until the bottom of the fifth when he gave up an unearned run on two hits.

The Tomcats had to rally back in the second game after trailing 4-1, to win 5-4 in the late innings.

The Tomcats scored first in the top of the first when Trent Smith (Franklin, Pa./Franklin) doubled to right field to score Bryan Mitchell (Cleveland, Ohio/Padua Franciscan).

After the Wolverines scored two runs in the third and the fifth innings, the Tomcats responded with two runs in the top of the sixth. Sam Passafiume (Medina, Ohio/Medina) hit a two RBI single that scored Brian Genco (Strongsville, Ohio/Strongsville) and Matt Elko (Middlefield, Ohio/Berkshire).
