CRESTVIEW HILLS, Ky. – The fifth-seeded Thiel College men's basketball team was defeated Tuesday by the fourth-seeded Thomas More Saints 72-56 in the quarterfinals of the 2015 Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) Championship Tournament.
Josh Johnson (Monroeville, Pa./Imani Christian Academy) led the Tomcats with 11 points and five rebounds.
Eric Mallinger (Pittsburgh, Pa./Taylor Allderdice) was a point and a rebound away from a double-double scoring nine points and nine rebounds.
Justin Dade (Upper Marlboro, Md./Bishop McNamara) also scored seven points.
Drew Mumford scored a game-high 26 points for the Saints.
The Tomcats outshot the Saints from the field (37.7-35.6), scored more points in the paint (44-26), second chance points (13-10) and bench points (22-19).
The Tomcats finished the 2014-15 season with an overall record of 13-13 and 9-7 in PAC play.
