NEW WILMINGTON, Pa. – The Thiel College women's basketball team suffered a 73-62 overtime loss to the Westminter Titans in a Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) contest Saturday.
Junior forward
Jaclyn Watkins (Aliquippa, Pa./Aliquippa) shot 11-of-19 from the field and added 7-of-8 from the free-throw line to score a career-high 29 points. Watkins' previous high was 27 points, which occurred four times previously. She also pulled down nine rebounds and had three assists.
Fellow junior forward
Hannah Stoneman (Sugarcreek, Ohio/Hiland) also scored 10 points and gathered six rebounds. Freshman forward
Taylor Duchon (Pittsburgh, Pa./Baldwin) had seven points while junior guard
Kayla Welty (Portville, N.Y./Portville ) had six rebounds.
Four Titans scored double figures, led by Rachel Durbin. Durbin scored 20 points.
The Tomcats will be back in action Wednesday, February 18 at 5:30 p.m. when they take on the Saint Vincent Bearcats.
