GREENVILLE, Pa. – Freshman guard Jess Vormelker (Orwell, Ohio/Grand Valley) scored a game-high 23 points Tuesday, but it wasn't enough for the Thiel Tomcats in an 81-50 Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) loss to the Washington & Jefferson Presidents at Beeghly Gymnasium.
 
Vormelker, who tallied a game-best seven rebounds, also notched five assists for the Tomcats. Taylor Ketler (Dalton, Ohio/Dalton) also chipped in five points for the Tomcats while Alivia Sidley (Thompson, Ohio/Ledgemont) and Jaclyn Watkins (Aliquippa, Pa./Aliquippa) each grabbed five rebounds.
 
Ashley Mikelonis led the Presidents with 15 points. Amirah Moore and Beka Bellhy scored 12 and 11 points, respectively.
 
Thiel will take on Warner University in Lake Wales, Fla. on Wednesday, Dec. 14 at 7 p.m.
