GREENVILLE, Pa. – The Thiel College men's basketball team fell to the Penn State Behrend Lions 75-56 in non-conference action Wednesday night.
Brian Rowe (Fort Lauderdale, Fla./Cardinal Gibbons) paced the Tomcats with 12 points and five rebounds. Rowe also swatted two shots.
Khari Bess (Waldorf, Md./Maurice J. McDonough) added 11 points, all coming in the second half and three steals.
Tyreik Burton (Lewes, Del./Cape Henlopen) also scored 11 points in the loss.
Luke Kochka (Monroeville, Pa. /Gateway) and
Avril Campbell (Dumfries, Va./Potomac) led the Tomcats with six rebounds.
Andy Niland scored 17 points for the Lions and had five steals.
The Tomcats will partcipate in the Buzz Ridl Classic on Friday and Saturday. The Tomcats will open against the Hiram Terriers on Friday, Nov. 20. Tipoff is scheduled for 6 p.m. in New Wilmington, Pa.
