PITTSBURGH, Pa. – The Thiel College men's basketball team jumped out to a 14-0 lead Wednesday over the La Roche Redhawks and never trailed in a 65-56 non-conference road victory.
Josh Johnson (Monroeville, Pa./Imani Christian Academy) and
Eric Mallinger (Pittsburgh, Pa./Taylor Allderdice) led the Tomcats with 13 points apiece while
Justin Dade (Upper Marlboro, Md./Bishop McNamara) chipped in 10 points. Point guard
Khari Bess (Waldorf, Md./Maurice J. McDonough) scored seven points and added seven assists and seven steals.
Arnes Bajgora led La Roche with 15 points while Zaire Redding pulled down a game-high nine rebounds.
The Tomcats (6-6, 3-1 PAC) will return to action Saturday when they host the Westminster Titans at 3 p.m.
