Box Score LATROBE, Pa. – The Thiel College women's volleyball team fell to the St. Vincent Bearcats 3-1 (18-25, 25-17, 25-12, 25-23) in a Presidents' Athletic Conference matchup Wednesday night.

Senior Alex Hall (Norwin, Pa./Norwin) secured a double-double with 14 kills and 10 digs. Hall also had three solo blocks. Fellow senior libero Lauren Downs (Mentor, OH/Mentor) had 42 digs while freshman Megan Sweeny (Freeport, Pa./Freeport Area) had 15 digs. Junior Bailey Holmes (Roaming Shores, Ohio/Grand Valley) added nine kills while sophomore Jenny Shelley (Port Allegany, Pa./Port Allegany) had 36 assists in the loss.

Three Bearcats had double digit kills while Brittany George had 41 digs.

The Tomcats (5-7, 2-2 PAC) will be back in action this Saturday Sept. 20 when travel to Marietta, Ohio for a tri-match against the Denison Big Red and the host Marietta Pioneers. The first Thiel match starts at 3 p.m.
