Timothy O'Shea (Cranberry Township, Pa./Seneca Valley) tallied four points on three goals and an assist Tuesday, leading the Thiel men's lacrosse team to a 15-3 win over the Houghton College Highlanders.
Sean Loney (Linthicum, Md./North County) scored the game's first goal some eight seconds after the opening draw. The Tomcats added ten straight goals to close out the first half with a commanding 11-0 lead.
O'Shea led Thiel with four points while
Dom Perella (Pittsburgh, Pa./Seton-La Salle) tallied three scores.
Edward Kargbo (Alexandria, Va./T.C. Williams) also recorded three points (2G, 1A) while
Loney notched two markers.
Also for the Tomcats,
Nate Monks (Butler, Pa./Butler Area) scored his first career goal in the win.
Ryan Weldon (Centereach, N.Y./Newfield) and Richard Cannon (Allison Park, Pa./Shaler Area) combined for 13 saves, with Weldon collecting his third win of the season.
Thiel (6-6) will next host the La Roche College Redhawks on April 19. The contest, to be played outside at Thiel's Alumni Stadium, is set to start at 1 p.m.
