Box Score GREENVILLE, Pa. — 11 Tomcats scored at least one goal as the Thiel men's lacrosse team tied a program-best 22 goals in a 22-3 win over Franciscan University Tuesday. 
Four Tomcats registered hat tricks, as juniors 
Carmen Papa (Salamanca, N.Y./Salamanca Central) and 
Thomas Petrullo (Wantagh, N.Y./General Douglas MacArthur), sophomore 
Timothy O'Shea (Cranberry Township, Pa./Seneca Valley) and freshman 
Jared Saffer (Pittsburgh, Pa./North Hills) each tallied three scores. Freshman 
Mike Bryant (Cleveland, Ohio/Cleveland Heights), sophomores 
Sean Loney (Linthicum, Md./North County) and 
Alex Casile (Pittsburgh, Pa./Fox Chapel) added two markers, respectively while freshman 
Edward Kargbo (Alexandria, Va./T.C. Williams), sophomore 
Zachary Macurak (Bethel Park, Pa./Bethel Park) and seniors 
Francis Ahia (Pittsburgh, Pa./Penn Hills) and 
Aaron Herman (Cannonsburg, Pa./Canon-Mcmillan) rounded out the scoring for Thiel, each registering a goal. 
Casile notched the first goal of the game for the Tomcats (4-5) just three minutes and three seconds into play, and the Tomcats built a comfortable 17-0 lead before Franciscan (1-10) answered with a goal of their own with 5:40 remaining in the third period. The Barons' William Erskine scored his second-straight goal with 37 seconds to play in the third, but Kargbo's shot found the back of the net as time expired in the period to push Thiel's advantage to 18-2. 
Thiel outscored the Barons 4-1 in the final period of play to secure the victory. 
The Tomcats passed the ball effectively, working give and goes to the tune of 10 assists on 22 goals. Bryant, Papa and junior 
Jacob Paviol (Falls Village, Conn./Housatonic Valley Regional) each dished out two assists while Petrullo, O'Shea, Ahia and senior 
Dom Perella (Pittsburgh, Pa./Seton-La Salle) each added a helper.
The Tomcats return to action on Friday, April 4, as they travel to Bethany, W. Va. to take on the Bison of Bethany College in a Presidents' Athletic Conference clash. The game is set to begin at 5 p.m.
