Box Score 2 MEADVILLE, Pa. – The Thiel College women's volleyball team wrapped up the 2013 Gator Invitational by dropping a pair of matches Saturday afternoon.
The Tomcats fell to Albion College, 3-0, before losing to Buffalo State by the same score.
Hall continued her strong start to the 2013 season, as she racked up 22 kills (1.7 kills per set), 55 assists (4.2 per set) and 37 digs (2.84 per set) in her four matches at the Invitational. Hall's efforts were good enough to earn her All-Tournament recognition, as she was one of five honored.
In the first match of the day against Albion, junior
Lauren Richey (Harmarville, PA/Springdale) and freshman Jennifer Shelley (Port Allegany, Pa./Port Allegany) led the Thiel attack with seven kills apiece. Hall and freshman
Lenora Boyer (Delaware, Ohio/Delaware Christian) reached double-digit totals in digs, with 10 and 11, respectively.
The Thiel offense was led in the loss to Buffalo State by freshman
Alannah Keisling (Englewood, Fla./Lemon Bay) with six kills and four digs. Sophomore
Heather Reichenback (Erie, Pa./Harbor Creek) finished the match with 12 digs, while Hall led the team in assists with 13.
Thiel is back in action on Wednesday, Sept. 18, when they host Geneva College for a Presidents' Athletic Conference match. First serve is scheduled for 7 p.m.
