GREENVILLE, Pa. - On a chilly Friday morning at the Greens of Greenville, 132 golfers gathered for the Thiel College Blue-Gold Club's Golf Outing. The 132 participants was the most to attend the annual golf outing since 2003.
The overall winners of the 32-team tournament were Nick Reiser, Jeff Mullen, Chris Owens, and Dave Bracco. The mixed team made up of male/female golfers to win the outing was John Viglio, Linda Moreland, Matt Gentile, and Todd Hedderick. The female winners of the outing were
Amy Schafer, Barbara Blue, Amy Becher, and Melissa Erdice.
The winner of the annual Hawaii raffle was Mark Malvin from Pittsburgh, Pa., who bought the winning ticket from baseball student assistant, Bill Bendgen's mother. Malvin was not present at the golf outing for the drawing. Golfers enjoyed hot dogs, chips, and beverages for lunch, and a catered dinner of baked chicken, pasta, potatoes and salad in the late afternoon.
