CRESTVIEW HILLS, Ky. – The Thiel College men's basketball team challenged Presidents' Athletic Conference-leading Thomas More College Saturday but ultimately suffered a 72-62 loss on the road.

The Tomcats trailed the Saints by nine points (15-6) midway through the first half, but used a 14-3 run to take a 20-18 lead with a little less than four minutes remaining before the break. Chace McKinney (Boardman, Ohio/Kennedy Catholic) scored five points during the run. The Tomcats went on to lead at the half, 27-26.

R.J. Brownlee (Donora, Pa./Ringgold) forced the ninth tie of the contest on a free throw with a little more than five minutes left in regulation, but the Tomcats couldn't keep up with the Saints down the stretch.
