Women’s Volleyball travels to Geneva

Box Score BEAVER FALLS, Pa. – The Thiel women's volleyball team suffered a 3-0 loss at Geneva Tuesday evening, suffering the Presidents' Athletic Conference loss by set scores of 25-15, 25-19 and 25-18.

 

Lauren Richey (Harmarville, PA/Springdale) and Lenora Boyer (Delaware, Ohio/Delaware Christian) scored a team-best four kills for the Tomcats (1-19, 1-7 PAC). Alex Hall (Norwin, Pa./Norwin) dished out nine assists and chipped in six digs while Boyer added nine digs. Richey also notched four solo blocks, while Leanna Yeager (Poland, Ohio/Poland Seminary) and Bailey Holmes (Roaming Shores, Ohio/Grand Valley) each had two solo blocks apiece.

 

Geneva (15-9, 9-2 PAC) was led by Ashley Davis, who totaled a match-high 18 kills. Deanna Briody notched 35 assists and eight digs as Rachel Neatherland added 14 digs.

The Tomcats will return to action Saturday, to host Waynesburg University and Westminster College for a PAC tri-match at Beeghly Gymnasium. Thiel takes on Waynesburg at 11 a.m. before facing the Titans of Westminster at 3 p.m.
