Box Score LATROBE, Pa. – The Thiel College women's volleyball team hit the road on Thursday night for a Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) match at Saint Vincent. The Tomcats dropped the contest by a 3-1 final, but the set scores indicated a much closer battle with the Bearcats.
After Saint Vincent (13-11, 7-5) took the first two sets by the scores of 25-15 and 25-19, Thiel (2-22, 2-10) responded with a 25-21 victory in the third set. Unfortunately, the home team closed out the night with a 25-17 win in set four to seal up the decision.
Junior
Alex Hall (Norwin, Pa./Norwin) had a productive night in which she posted her second triple-double of the season with 11 kills, 17 assists and 15 digs. Junior
Lauren Richey (Harmarville, PA/Springdale) chipped in a team-high 13 kills and three blocks, including one solo block, while freshman
Alannah Keisling (Englewood, Fla./Lemon Bay) added six kills. Sophomore
Heather Reichenback (Erie, Pa./Harbor Creek) led Thiel defensively, piling up 21 digs.
The Tomcats return home on Saturday, Oct. 19
th to take on the Bethany College Bison. The match is scheduled to get underway at 1 p.m.
