BETHANY, W.Va. -- The Thiel College women's volleyball team split two matches in Saturday's tri-match at Bethany College. The Tomcats defeated Geneva in four sets and were defeated by Bethany in four sets.
Game one saw the Blue and Gold defeat the defending PAC champions, the Geneva Golden Tornadoes (11-4, 4-2) in four sets (21-25, 25-12, 25-23, 25-17) to win their fourth straight Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) match.
Match two saw the Tomcats fall to Bethany (14-3, 5-0) in four sets (23-25, 23-25, 26-24, 20-25) and drop their season record to 9-5 overall and 4-1 in the PAC.
The Blue and Gold's next match will be at Washington, Pa. on Thursday against PAC foe Washington and Jefferson. The game is scheduled for a 7 p.m. start time.
