GREENVILLE, Pa. — The Thiel women's volleyball squad won its eighth match in a row on Wednesday night with a sweep of St. Vincent College, 25-8, 25-9, 28-26 in Presidents' Athletic Conference play.
Alyssa Chine (North Jackson, Ohio/Jackson Milton) and Megg Andrews (Canfield, Ohio/Canfield) topped the Tomcats (8-4, 3-0 PAC) with 7 kills respectively. Chine also had 11 digs, while Andrews contributed four blocks.
Kelly Barzak (Warren, Ohio/Howland) finished with six kills and one block while
Chelsea Meister (Liberty Center, Ohio/Liberty Center) tallied 27 assists and nine digs.
The win over the Bearcats gives the Tomcats momentum going into the weekend, as they have a tri-match with two of the consistently better teams in the PAC, Bethany and Geneva College.
The tri-match at Bethany, W. Va on Saturday, September 19 is scheduled to start at 1 p.m.
