LATROBE, Pa. — In one of the toughest matchups on its schedule, Thiel was beaten by homestanding Saint Vincent 29-1 Saturday at Chuck Noll Field.
Nineteen different players scored for the Bearcats with Will Delanoy, Jake Dick and Kevin Vawter scoring three goals apiece. Saint Vincent improves to 7-2 overall.
Trailing 14-0 in the second quarter,
Andrew Shaver (Liverpool, N.Y./West Genesee) scored the lone goal for the Tomcats. The score gives him 20 goals and 22 points on the season, both of which lead the team.
Thiel (1-8) will play an away game at La Roche on Wednesday.
