BEAVER FALLS, Pa. – The women's volleyball squad was dealt a 3-1 setback by Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) rival Geneva College Wednesday evening in Beaver Falls.
After the Tomcats (10-8, 5-4) registered a 25-22 game one win, the Golden Tornadoes responded by winning three straight (25-19, 25-23, 25-20) to notch the four-set victory.
Kelly Barzak (Warren, Ohio/Howland) totaled 18 kills while
Chelsea Meister (Liberty Center, Ohio/Liberty Center) handed out 30 assists.
Lauren Downs (Mentor, OH/Mentor HS) and
Alex Hall (Norwin, Pa./Norwin) added 28 and 20 digs, respectively.
Thiel returns to action on Saturday, Oct. 8 when they play host to Westminster College and Waynesburg University. The Tomcats will take on the Titans at 11 a.m. and the Yellow Jackets at 3 p.m.
