LATROBE, Pa. – The women's volleyball squad registered a 3-0 sweep of Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) rival Saint Vincent College Thursday evening in Latrobe. Megan Kay (Girard, Ohio/Liberty) hit a dazzling .481 on the night to pace the Tomcats, finishing with 13 kills while not committing a single attack error.

The Tomcats (14-8, 9-4), winners of four straight and eight of their last 10, earned game wins of 25-23, 25-19, and 25-20 over the Bearcats (17-6, 7-4) in securing the season sweep.

Chelsea Meister (Liberty Center, Ohio/Liberty Center) once again guided the offense for Thiel, totaling 35 assists while adding six digs. Kelly Barzak (Warren, Ohio/Howland) chipped in with 13 kills and three blocks.

Alyssa Chine (North Jackson, Ohio/Jackson Milton) proved to be a key to the Tomcats offensive and defensive efforts, finishing with 10 kills and eight digs. Lauren Downs (Mentor, OH/Mentor HS) added 16 digs from her libero position.

Thiel returns to action on Saturday, Oct. 15 when they host PAC foe Bethany College at 7 p.m.
