WASHINGTON, Pa. – The women's volleyball team posted a pair of Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) victories Saturday in Washington, downing the host Presidents 3-0 before recording a 3-0 victory against Chatham.
Thiel (10-7, 5-3) earned game wins of 25-20, 25-21, and 25-9 against W&J.
Kelly Barzak (Warren, Ohio/Howland) tallied 14 kills while
Alyssa Chine (North Jackson, Ohio/Jackson Milton) added seven kills and seven digs.
Alex Hall (Norwin, Pa./Norwin) contributed 15 digs while
Lauren Downs (Mentor, OH/Mentor HS) chipped in with 10 digs.
Chelsea Meister (Liberty Center, Ohio/Liberty Center) handed out 27 assists. The Tomcats managed 13.0 team blocks in the win.
Led by
Megg Andrews (Canfield, Ohio/Canfield), who finished with a season-high 11 kills, the Tomcats dispatched Chatham 3-0 (25-14, 25-9, and 25-7) in their second match of the afternoon.
Megan Kay (Girard, Ohio/Liberty) and Barzak each added 10 kills while
Alex Hall (Norwin, Pa./Norwin) finished with 11 digs in the three-set win.
Chelsea Meister (Liberty Center, Ohio/Liberty Center) contributed 38 assists and a season-high four service aces. The Tomcats finished with a season-best 13 aces in the wiin.
Thiel will return to action on Wednesday, Oct. 5 when they travel to PAC frontrunner Geneva College for a 7 p.m. match.
