GREENVILLE, Pa. — Thiel volleyball standout
Madison Chylik (Valley View, Ohio, Cuyahoga Heights) was voted to the ESPN Academic All-America Third Team, the College Sports Information Directors of America announced Tuesday.
Chylik, an elementary education major with a 4.0 GPA and a six-time member of the Dean's List, is a four-year letterwinner in volleyball and a two-year letterwinner in softball. She is a five-time Presidents' Athletic Conference Academic Honor Roll selection. In addition to her academic achievements, she is the Student Government representative for SAAC and a member of Kappa Delta Pi, an international society in education
Chylik helped lead the Tomcats to their second straight 20-win season. Earlier this year she became the school's all-time leader in assists. Last season she was named to the first team on the All-PAC squad and this year she made the second team.
"It has been a pleasure having the chance to work with Madison the last four years," Thiel coach Steve Brewer said. "It's wonderful to see her get recognition for all the hard work she has put into both her academic and athletic life here at Thiel College."
