GREENVILLE, Pa. – The Thiel College women's volleyball team finished their regular season with a 3-0 loss at the hands of PAC leader Thomas More on Sunday in Greenville.
The Saints jumped on Thiel early as they took game one 25-14 and game two 25-15. The Tomcats tried to battle back and played well in game three but fell short as they dropped the game 25-22 and suffered just their third 3-0 loss of the season.
Offensively the Tomcats (20-11; 12-3 PAC) were led by sophomore middle hitter
Kelly Barzak (Warren, Ohio, Howland) who totaled 10 kills on the day. Senior setter
Madison Chylik (Valley View, Ohio, Cuyahoga Heights) set up the offense with 26 assists and also led Thiel in digs with 16.
Thiel will begin PAC tournament play on Friday in Crestview Hills, Kentucky where they will play the winner of Washington & Jefferson and Westminster. The game is scheduled for eight p.m.
