GREENVILLE, Pa. (Jan. 7, 2010) – Aundra Jones (Youngstown, Ohio/Kennedy Catholic) scored 10 of Thiel's first 13 points to key a game-opening, 25-to-4, run that the Tomcats rode to an impressive, 82-68, Presidents' Athletic Conference victory over Waynesburg on Thursday night.

Thiel (5-7; 1-2 PAC) led by as many as 31 points in the first half as it cruised to a, 52-26, advantage at the intermission.

Jones would finish with 12 points on a 6-of-8 night from the floor.

Freshman Blair Rozenblad (Youngstown, Ohio/Kennedy Catholic) and junior Devon Adams (Philadelphia, Pa./George Junior Republic) each put on typically-strong performances, teaming up for a pair of 19-point nights.

Rozenblad converted nine of 13 field goal attempts and was solid from the line, sinking nine of 11 free throws. Adams was 3-for-4 from beyond the three-point arc to highlight a 6-for-8 night from the floor.

Freshman Austin Forbes (Lighthouse Point, Fla./Pompano Beach) led the Tomcats on the boards, pulling down nine of the team's 41 rebounds.

Ben Altmeyer paced the Yellow Jacket offense, tossing in 10 points.

Thiel returns to action on Saturday when it welcomes Grove City for a 3 p.m. contest.
