Titans' second-half surge dooms Thiel

GREENVILLE, Pa. – Thiel College battled Westminster to a halftime, draw but couldn't weather the Titans' strong second-half effort, as the Tomcat men fell, 74-60, at Beeghly Gymnasium on Saturday.
Thiel rallied to close a six-point opening period deficit, to enter the intermission all knotted up at 35. The Titans', however, went on a 15-3 run to open the second half dashing the Tomcats' hopes of pulling the upset.

Senior Keebo Dowe (Martinsburg, W. Va./Edison Twp.) pulled down a game-best-tying seven boards.
Westminster was led by David Richards and Anthony DeFelice, who each tossed in 14 points.
Thiel travels to Geneva on Wednesday, for its final regular-season road game of the 2008-09 campaign. The Tomcats' will celebrate Senior Day next Saturday when they welcome Grove City.
