GREENVILLE, Pa. (Oct. 17, 2009) – Megan Kay (Girard, Ohio/Liberty) (Girard, Ohio/Liberty) paved the way for the Thiel College volleyball team Saturday afternoon, as the sophomore OH racked up 16 kills and 17 digs in the Tomcats', 3-0, win over Waynesburg.

The visiting Yellow Jackets never really challenged, as Thiel eased through three sets, 25-12, 25-11, 25-17.  The victory was the 'Cats ninth in a row, and upped Thiel's record to 18-7, including an 8-1 mark in the Presidents' Athletic Conference.

Freshmen Alyssa Chine (North Jackson, Ohio/Jackson-Milton) and Kelly Barzak (Warren, Ohio/Howland) (Warren, Ohio/Howland) each reached double-digit kills, with 10 and 11, respectively.

Junior setter Madison Chylik (Valley View, Ohio/Cuyahoga Heights) (Valley View, Ohio/Cuyahoga Heights) notched a match-high 38 assists to go along with 10 digs.  Junior Stephanie Shipley (Mentor, Ohio/Mentor) (Mentor, Ohio/Mentor) came up with a team-leading 21 digs.

Thiel returns to action on Tuesday when they visit Geneva for a 7 p.m. match.
