GREENVILLE, Pa. – Three Thiel players reached double digit scoring totals, but Thomas More scored 18 points off of 15 Tomcat turnovers and dominated the boards to come away with the, 80-65, Presidents' Athletic Conference win.
The loss dropped Thiel to 1-6 (0-2 PAC), while the Saints improved to 5-1 (2-0 PAC).
Thomas More out-rebounded the 'Cats, 34-17, on the afternoon. The Saints made the most of their 10 offensive boards, cashing in 10 second-chance points.
Freshman Roddy Fuller (Campbell, Ohio/Warren G. Harding) led Thiel in scoring for the fourth time this season by tossing in 16 points. Senior Brandon Mirizio (West Middlesex,Pa./Kennedy Catholic) and junior Cory Chaffee (Erie, Pa./Villa Maria Academy) also broke into double-digits with 13 and 11 points, respectively.
The Saints were led by Mark Tinklenberg who scored a game-high 17 points.
Thiel travels to Allegheny on Tuesday for a 7:30 p.m. game.
