GREENVILLE, Pa. (Oct. 16, 2008) – The Thiel volleyball team won a hard-fought Presidents' Athletic Conference battle Thursday night, 3-2 (25-13, 12-25, 19-25, 25-20, 15-12), over Bethany at Beeghly Gymnasium.

Megan Kay (Girard, Ohio/Liberty) (Girard, Ohio/Liberty) led the Tomcats with 14 kills.

Four players put in solid games for Thiel defensively, led by Stephanie Shipley (Mentor, Ohio/Mentor) (Mentor, Ohio/Mentor) who came up with a team-high 16 digs.  Also compiling double-digit digs were Danielle Dwyer (Dalton, Ohio/Dalton) (Dalton, Ohio/Dalton) with 15, Kay with 14, and Madison Chylik (Valley View, Ohio/Cuyahoga Heights) (Valley View, Ohio/Cuyahoga Heights) with 13.

Thiel served up a combined eight aces on the night.

The Tomcats (12-12; 7-3 PAC) return to action on Saturday when they travel to Washington & Jefferson for a 1:00 p.m. match
