Thomas More, leading 33-23 at the half, watched Thiel put together a 14-3 run to assume a 44-43 lead with 10:40 to play. Brown's layup with 20 seconds remaining trimmed the Tomcat lead to four, 62-58, and Johnny Bovard's three-pointer with 15 seconds to go cut the led to one, 62-61. After junior guard Brandon Mirizio (West Middlesex/Kennedy Catholic) (West Middlesex/Kennedy Catholic) knocked down a pair of free throws with 15 seconds remaining, Thomas More watched Tinklenberg's three-point attempt rattle out, only to be corralled by Brown with four seconds to go. Brown's attempt at the buzzer beater went wide left, preserving the Tomcat win.
