Smith had a career-best day for the Tomcats in a tough 1-point loss to the undefeated Waynesburg University Yellow Jackets Saturday. He completed 23-of-36 passes for 243 yards and threw one touchdown pass and no interceptions. He also put the Tomcats ahead briefly in the fourth quarter on a designed 12-yard touchdown run.
