Phil George enters his fourth year on the Thiel staff in 2025. He served as a volunteer assistant for his first three years and was promoted to assistant coach in 2024.
A native of Mercer, Pa., George is a special education teacher at Mohawk Area High School. He has served as the goalkeeper’s coach at Hickory High School for the past 10 years. He also currently has his United Soccer Coaches Level 1 and 2 goalkeeper certifications.
George earned his bachelor’s degree in elementary and special education from Edinboro University. He obtained his master’s degree in educational development and strategies from Wilkes University.
