Jon Bevier enters his second season as the head women's flag football coach at Thiel in 2027. The Cats anticipate competing in the spring 2027 campaign.

Before Thiel

Central Michigan (2024)

Bevier spent the 2024 season as a defensive quality control coach at NCAA Division I FBS Central Michigan.

Working with the Chippewas' defensive backs, Bevier assisted with daily meetings and weekly game-planning reports, ran the scout defense and tracked defensive calls and play outcomes to assist with in-game adjustments. He also worked with recruits and potential walk-ons and gained experience using Microsoft Visio, Catapult Thunder and ARMS.

Central Michigan won the Cannon Trophy during Bevier's season with the program, defeating rival Western Michigan at home for the first time since 2010.

Anchor Bay High School (2020-24)

Bevier spent four seasons as an assistant football coach at Anchor Bay High School in Fair Haven, Michigan.

During his tenure, Anchor Bay won back-to-back MAC White championships in 2020 and 2021, the first conference championships in school history. Bevier also helped increase participation throughout the program while expanding its community service projects and revenue-generating events.

Grosse Pointe North High School (2021-24)

Bevier served as a strength and conditioning wrestling coach at Grosse Pointe North High School from 2021-24.

He helped Grosse Pointe North win a district championship in 2024 while working with multiple state, regional and district qualifiers. During his tenure, the program's participation increased from 13 to 26 wrestlers.

Beal City High School (2019-20)

Bevier began his coaching career at Beal City High School, where he served as a volunteer football coach.

Beal City finished as the Michigan Division 8 state runner-up in 2019 while winning district, regional and Highland Conference championships.
