Thiel College Athletics

Jacob (JD) Eger is in his first year at Thiel College in 2024-2025 as a UPMC Sports Medicine Athletic Trainer.

Eger earned his undergraduate degree in Exercise Science with a minor in Nutrition from Grove City College in 2022. He continued his education at Gannon University where he earned his master’s degree in Athletic Training in 2024.

Eger earned student experience at the Division II level while working with baseball, softball, soccer, and football. He received Division I wrestling experience at Edinboro University. He completed a full-time clinical immersion at Duquesne University where he worked with their women’s soccer and rowing teams in 2024.

Eger is originally from McDonald, Pennsylvania but currently resides in Sharpsville, Pennsylvania.
