At Thiel

Greg Polis was named interim head football coach at Thiel on Oct. 16, 2026. Polis, who is in his second season with the Tomcats, will lead the program for the remainder of the 2026 season in addition to remaining as offensive coordinator. He becomes the 30th head coach in program history.

2026

• Named interim head football coach on Oct. 16
• Served as offensive coordinator prior to his appointment as interim head coach
• Helped develop freshman wide receiver Isaiah Gladney, who earned PAC Newcomer of the Week and D3football.com Team of the Week honors following a nine-catch, 203-yard, two-touchdown performance against Hiram
• Gladney's 203 receiving yards against Hiram rank ninth in program history and are the most by a Tomcat since 2016

2025

• Completed his first season as OC at Thiel
• Had one offensive All-PAC pick in running back Deon Logan
• Mentored freshman quarterback Keller Herzberger as he set the single-game passing yards record (447 yards) and the second most touchdown throws (five) in school history in his first collegiate start
• Led the Thiel offense to 38 points against Geneva on Oct. 11, its most since 2016
• Led the Tomcat offense to 48 points in a win at Hiram on Nov. 1, its most in a road game since 2009
• The Thiel offense scored 133 points in 2025, its most since 2017 (156)

Hudson Valley CC (2020-24)

Polis spent five seasons as the offensive coordinator, quarterbacks coach and strength and conditioning coordinator at Hudson Valley Community College.
