Dante Parente

Dante Parente was promoted to Sports Information Director in Feb. 2025 after serving as Senior Assistant Sports Information Director for four months beginning in Oct. 2024. 

In his time at Thiel, Parente has overseen the promotion of the Tomcats' 22 varsity sports. Since his arrival, Thiel's social media presence has increased drastically, pushing the Tomcats to the top spots among conference schools in Instagram and Facebook engagements. Year-over-year, Thiel's Facebook engagement has increased by 4,251%, X engagement by 531.4% and Instagram engagement by 183.4%.

Parente led the promotional efforts of the 2025 PAC Championship Men's Volleyball team that made the NCAA Tournament for the first time in team history. He also led the campaign for Ezra Oesterling being named the PAC Player and Newcomer of the Year as well as Dylan Lasher '15 for being honored as the PAC Coach of the Year.

Prior to Thiel, he spent two years at PAC-foe Waynesburg working in the Yellow Jackets' sports information office as a graduate assistant and Interim Sports Information Director for three months. 

Prior to Waynesburg, Parente graduated magna cum laude from Duquesne University with a degree in sports information and media along with a minor in political science. While on the Bluff, he worked in the Dukes' athletic department in the gameday operations office and assisted with the operations for the 2019 NCAA Division I Women's Volleyball Championships and 2022 NCAA Division I Men's Basketball Tournament First and Second Rounds. Parente also served as the color commentator for the 2021 Atlantic 10 Women's Volleyball Championship semifinals and finals.

Parente grew up in Pittsburgh and graduated from Baldwin High School in 2018. He earned his MBA from Waynesburg in 2024.
