Alex Skvarch enters his fourth season as the head men's lacrosse coach at Thiel in 2027.

2026

  • Completed his third season leading the Tomcats
  • Mentored Dom Baker to All-PAC recognition as he became the first Thiel freshman since 2018 to earn All-Conference honors
  • Coached Ethan Narby as he became the programs career saves record holder (798)

2025

  • Completed his third season leading the Cats
  • Oversaw a 25-goal performance, which is tied for second-most in team history, in a win over La Roche on March 22
  • Had two players receive CSC Academic All-District distinction and four make the PAC Academic Honor Roll

2024

  • Led Thiel to three victories in his first year with the program
  • Mentored Chase Lawler and Bennett Medyn to All-PAC distinction

Before Thiel

Walsh (2015-23)

Skvarch spent nine seasons as head coach at DII Walsh, where he developed one of the GMAC's top programs. During his tenure, he coached two USILA Scholar All-Americans, one GMAC Goalkeeper of the Year and 18 All-GMAC selections, including five First Team honorees.

Off the field, Walsh earned the USILA All-Academic Team Award three consecutive years while the program averaged 10 hours of community service per student-athlete annually. Skvarch also served on the NCAA North Regional Advisory Committee for two years.

Hartwick (2012-13)

Skvarch began his collegiate coaching career as an assistant coach at his alma mater Hartwick, where he mentored one Academic All-American and three Empire 8 All-League selections.
