Kelly Nan comes back to his alma mater Thiel to become an assistant coach on Coach Reiser's staff and will be in charge of the defensive line.
Coach Nan currently serves as a school counselor at George Junior Republic in Grove City. He comes to Thiel with 16 years of experience at both the high school and collegiate levels. He coached at Grove City High School from 1986-2000 and served as the head coach from 1990-1993. He previously coached at Shippensburg High School for two years prior to going to Grove City High. He also served as an assistant coach in 1996 at Grove City College under head coach Chris Smith.
Nan has a history and secondary education degree from Thiel and is a part of the Class of 1981 and has received a Master's degree in education from Slippery Rock in 1996. Nan currently lives in Mercer with his wife of 26 years Pamela and had four grown children; Samantha (24), Nick (22), Ethan (20) and Evan (18) who is a Thiel freshman and is on the football team.
