Corey Russell

Corey Russell is in his third season as a member of the Tomcat coaching staff and his second as the team’s defensive coordinator. Russell will pay particular attention to the linebackers, assuming direct responsibility for that group after serving as an assistant linebackers coach in 2008.
Russell graduated from Thiel in 2007 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in history.
Hailing from Euclid, Ohio, he was a three-year letter winner for the Tomcats and started at strong safety in his senior season. 
In 2004, Russell also worked briefly as a student assistant on then-coach Jack Leipheimer’s staff.
