Thiel College Athletics

Bill Lawrence is entering his first season as secondary coach for the Tomcats.  

Lawrence brings over a decade of coaching experience to Thiel. His most recent position was at Murray State, where he coached both the defensive ends and the secondary. Prior to his time with the Racers, Lawrence held various defensive positions at Hamilton College, Utica College, Central Connecticut State, Colby College, the University of Maine and Brockport State.

A 1999 Plymouth State graduate, Lawrence began his coaching career as a defensive assistant at his alma mater in 1998.

Lawrence has been on the coaching staff of five conference champions, including Central Connecticut State (NEC 2005), Colby College (CBB 2003, 2004) and the University of Maine (Atlantic 10 2001, 2002).

During his playing career, Lawrence was a two-year starter at defensive tackle for Plymouth State. He was named second team All-Freedom Football Conference in 1997.
